THE DIGITAL HARVEST STUDIO

FAQ PAGE

ORIGIN & PURPOSE

01

What inspired you to

create this archive?

The Digital Harvest Studio Archive

was born from necessity & love.

I wanted a world where creators

could access high-quality food

imagery without gatekeeping or

inflated pricing. When I couldn’t

find that resource, I built it myself

— image by image, dish by dish.

02

Why food?

Food is universal. Every culture,

memory, & emotion can be

expressed through a meal.

My archive turns that into art

— a visual library anyone

can use to tell their story.

03

How long did it

take to build?

Roughly 2½ months of solo full-time

creation, organization, & design.

Over 7,000 original images were

produced during that period, all

structured into collections representing

diverse cuisines across the world.

PROCESS & TECHNOLOGY

04

How are the images made?

Every image is concepted, art-directed,

& curated by me using a blend of

AI rendering, manual editing, &

design compositing. I treat each

image like a product photo shoot —

crafted with lighting, composition,

& authenticity in mind.

05

Is using AI ethical?

Yes. All works are original & rights-cleared.

AI is simply one of my creative tools — like

a camera or brush — guided by my art

direction, not replacing it. The goal

is accessibility & innovation, not

automation for its own sake.

06

How do you ensure quality?

Through relentless curation. Only the

highest-quality renders make it to the

archive, each reviewed for accuracy,

composition, & visual harmony.

Renders that have slight flaws are

edited in Lightroom using generative

AI when corrections need to be made.

ACCESSIBILITY & PRICING

07

Why are your prices lower than most stock sites?

Because creativity should be democratic.

Traditional stock libraries overcharge

for gatekept imagery. I’m offering

professional-grade visuals at prices

that respect both creator & consumer

— affordable, fair, & abundant.

08

Can customers build

their own bundles?

Yes. Buyers can select any combination

of images that fit their needs.

The system automatically applies

bundle pricing tiers so freedom &

affordability go hand in hand.

09

Do you offer licensing or commercial rights?

Every purchase includes commercial

usage rights suitable for branding,

design, marketing, & editorial use.

Extended licenses for mass distribution

are available upon request.

VISION & IMPACT

10

What’s your long-term

goal for the archive?

To become the global visual library of

food — a living museum of taste, texture,

& cultural memory. I want to make visual

storytelling accessible to every brand,

educator, & artist worldwide.

11

What kind of impact do

you hope to make?

Equity & inspiration. I want creators in

every corner of the world — from food truck

owners to filmmakers — to feel empowered

to build their visions without permission.

12

Do you offer licensing or commercial rights?

Every purchase includes commercial

usage rights suitable for branding,

design, marketing, & editorial use.

Extended licenses for mass distribution

are available upon request.

PERSONAL JOURNEY

13

Who built all of this?

Me — Kai Ibarra. I’m a designer,

educator, & lifelong artist. I’ve been

creating since age four & working

professionally across design, architecture,

& digital media for years. I built the

foundation of my archive solo in 2 1/2

months from July - October 2025.

14

What does success

mean to you now?

Sovereignty in action. Owning my story,

my time, & my labor. I’m not chasing

validation — I’m building value for the

world while also building my own self

satisfaction in the process. I’ve been

through so many peaks & valleys

throughout my life & now I feel like

I’m fulfilling a dream & life mission.

15

Any advice for

other creators?

Start messy, learn as you go, & protect

your vision. You don’t need permission —

you need persistence & clarity about

your “why”. Make sure you feel 100%

passionate about your work in

order to sustainably pour into it.

The work can feel overwhelming

& even lonely at times when you’re

bringing a new vision into the world alone.

The vision also doesn’t exist without you,

so always check in with yourself & take

your wellness seriously in tandem.
